Are Rugged Radios Worth it?

Are Rugged Radios Worth it?

In car communication? Car to car communication? Is it worth it? Maybe we are asking the wrong questions....
How many times have you been leading a trail ride and gotten out ahead of your buddies and they have taken the wrong turn, or worse yet how many times have you been the guys in the back that get led down the wrong direction.... How many times have you seen someone in the dunes "find" a witch eye and the second car in line hits the exact line and piles up on top of the first guy? Too many if you ask us!
With more and more enthusiasts jumping into the community daily, communication on the trails and in the dunes is becoming more and more of a necessity. Rugged Radios is one of the many companies that provides communications to the off-road community and does it for every budget and just about every type of vehicle out there.

From a small hand held option in both VHF or GMRS to complete vehicle kits that now have wifi stereo control apps (STX), and the ability to seperate rear passengers conversations from the front passengers if needed. There is literally an option for everyone. We have run multiple models in our various sxs's over the years (currently running the M1 VHF radio/696+ combo), outfitted our kids helmets and quads with push to talk set ups as well so our family can stay connected. Since installing on our vehicles we have avoided accidents, rescued other stranded riders, and had many laughs telling talking with our friends on longer rides, even when we are towing to events or riding spots we have used our handhelds to talk from truck to truck (which includes a story about aliens on the extra terrestrial highway you'll have to hear about around a campfire someday...). :)

Strictly speaking on the communications we 150% believe in them fully. In the conditions we ride, both in the dunes of the PNW to the desert and rocks of Southern Utah our Rugged Radios have saved us from damage, injuries, helped others flag us down for rescue and even alien abductions!
If you haven't tried riding with them yet please get out to one of the expo's, events, or find a buddy that has them and give it a try! You won't be disappointed! If you need a quote UTVRiders is here to help!
